My youngest brother just asked me a really interesting question: What makes a good entrepreneur?
Interesting in the sense that I wouldn't be considered an entrepreneur so it really humoured me that he thought to ask me!
It was also interesting in that it is such a good question. Majority of people aim to be an entrepreneur in some shape or form right? To have their own business, be financially free and not reliant on anyone or anything for help. To be considered the Richard Branson or Steve Jobs of their generation..
I'm not sure what he thought my answer would be, but I could tell that it shocked him because he went into a silence that seemed as if he was really taking in and digesting what I was saying. (Or he thought I was talking a load of rubbish and went silent in the hope that I'd be quiet lol).
I thought I'd share my answer with you all because I think there are days when we all need a little encouragement. Whether that be career, business, money or school wise, something like this is important to keep in the fore front of our minds.
"To be a good entrepreneur is someone who is not closed minded. It is someone who is open to the endless possibilities and opportunities that God has in store for them. It is someone who receives an idea - whether that be through a dream, vision, word of prophesy or however you receive it and you just RUN WITH IT. It is someone who doesn't see every setback or no or negative thing as a closed door but another opportunity to try something new.
Even when others don't see, even when others don't get it and even when they feel as if others aren't supporting them; they keep going with tunnel vision because they know what the end result and the end goal is and they do not care what others have to say.
It is someone who works hard and prays hard and grafts hard until they see the results that they want. It won't be easy because nothing ever good or worthwhile is easy, but it will be so worth it!
If people like Oprah and Ralph Lauren ever gave up on the first hurdle because of the obstacles and disappointments and criticism and set backs that they received they would not be enjoying the benefits now!
One of my favourite scripture verses ever is....
"The end of a thing is better than its beginning..."
-Ecclesiastes 7:8
This leads me to believe that though you may have to struggle through somethings now, later on, you will most definitely reap the rewards of what you've sown and be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour!
So what is a good entrepreneur?
All of the things that you'd expect. e.g. business minded, original ideas, handles money well, but also something a litle extra - faith in himself, in God, and the knowledge that if you want it, you'll work hard for it."
Remember that God wants you to succeed in every aspect of your life.
He wants you to be successfull and wealthy, so be mindful that you do deserve to flourish in a life full of abundance and strive towards that.
Everything works out for the good of those who love the Lord and who walk in obedience with His purpose for their life.
Remain grounded, keep pushing forward and journey through this life freely.
Stay blessed,
